Sampler Blanket Update

Here's a little snippet of what I've been up to, but first. . . . . . .Happy Mother's Day!

I've had a chance today to work on the final round of grannys for my sampler blanket.  I've completed 6 and have 18 more to go!  I plan to finish up 6 more multi-colored and work up 12 solid grannys.  I will alternate these around the blanket.  All will be joined with a black border.  Here's the blanket so far . . .

I'm so glad I decided to do this.  I'm learning a lot about yarn choice, color combinations, what I like, what I don't like, etc.  I think what I like most about this blanket is I'm in no hurry to finish it.  I truly enjoy the easy pace I can keep with it.  No deadlines!! No pressure!!

Have a great week!  I'm off to check how things are going in the garden.  Hubby is tilling so eldest can plant pumpkin seeds!
